07.00am – 07.30am: Pick up from your hotel in Southern Bali
(07.00am Sanur/Jimbaran/NusaDua/T. Benoa/Uluwatu and surroundings)

08.00am: Food Tasting
Suckling Pig “Babi Guling Chandra”
Babi Guling or suckling pig, is one of Bali’s most famed dishes. The pig is stuffed and infused with a spicy concoction involving turmeric, coriander
seeds, lemongrass, black pepper and garlic, and spit-roasted.
Vegetarian alternatives are available.

09.00am: Light Snack
Traditional Market Tour “Pasar Badung”
Indonesian cakes “Jajanan Pasar”
Badung Market is the largest market in Bali and acts as a clearing house
for many island goods. Fruit and vegetable producers from around Bali
bring their goods to here, the original market was opened in 1984 and
is currently situated at Jalan Cokroaminoto following a large fire in 2015.

09.30am: Food tasting Indonesian rice cake and tofu “Tipat Tahu Gerenceng”
Mix of Tipat or Ketupat (boiled rice wrapped in coconut leaves) and Tahu (tofu soya milk cheese) served with sweet spicy peanut sauce and bean sprouts.

10.00am: Exploring Denpasar City, walk along Jalan Gajah Mada and continue into Jalan Sulawesi where you will take a short visit with the famed Pak Ali, owner of RASTA shop and a bone fide Rastafarian from Yemen who has made Bali his home for many years. Here you will taste Arabian snacks prepared by Pak Ali’s wife before continuing on to Banjar Titih and the realm of the fruit sellers. See the delivery of avocadoes, apples, mangoes, oranges and many more.

11.30am: Coffee time Legendary Balinese Coffee “Bhineka Djaja” Alternatives are available for example Hot Chocolate or a selection of Tea Bhineka Djaja is the oldest coffee shop in town, a silent witness of this heritage area. Established in 1935 it has been managed by three generations of Tjahjadi family, Bhineka Djaja is a pioneer of the commercialization of Bali coffee which now has recognition among coffee lovers worldwide.

12.00pm: Main course Continue your drive for your main course. Balinese Nasi Campur at “Warung Wardani”

13.00pm: Dessert A little post meal walk will bring you to the famous Beef or Pork Satay at “Sate Plecing Arjuna” following this visit you will observe the creation of Balinese dessert “Jaje Laklak”
Laklak is a traditional Balinese cake made out of rice flour. This sweet cake is round and flat and the traditional cakes comes in two colors, white and light green. The light green color is created through the use of the Pandan leaves are added to the dough, the Pandan leaf also gives the delicious aroma to the cake.

OPTION if you don’t eat sweets we do offer an alternative: Making sweet Balinese fruit salad “Rujak Bali” Rujak is a traditional fruit salad dish commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. Other than referring to this fruit salad dish, the term rujak also means “mixture” or “eclectic mix” in colloquial Malay. Available everywhere across Indonesia there are vast variations across the country. However, the most popular rujak variant is rujak buah “fruit rujak”, which is mixed sliced fruit and vegetables served with spicy palm sugar dressing. Unlike common fruit salads, rujak is described as tangy and spicy fruit salad, this is due to its sweet, spicy dressing made from ground chili pepper, palm sugar and peanuts.

13.30pm: We take you back to your hotel

– As this tour involves a lot of walking and a visit to the traditional market. We would recommend wearing a comfy closed shoes and make sure you love to walk!
– Some of dishes might be a bit spicy for certain people. Please make sure you inform your guide if you are not able to eat spicy dishes.
– Please come hungry as there are large varieties of foods to try!

CANCELLATION

Free cancellation – 72 hrs. Less than that, will be charge 50% cancellation fee per person. Cancellation on the day of the tour will be charge 100% from the total booking.
